"Bauder College was founded in 1964 as Fashion Merchandising College. The College was established as a single-purpose, proprietary college offering an alternate to high school graduates seeking career training. The College expanded its program offerings to include Interior Design in 1972, Fashion Design in1975, and Business Adminstration with an emphasis in Marketing in 19995. In 1999, Graphic Design was added along with an emphasis in Management for the Business Administration program. The Information Technology and Criminal Justice programs were added in 2002. The Bachelor of Science (Business Administration) program was added in 2004. In 1992, Bauder College was purchased by Educational Medical, Inc. (EMI), a school company with headquarters in Roswell, Georgia. EMI, the parent company, changed its name to quest Education Corporation in September of 1998. Quest was purchased in July of 2000 by Kaplan, Inc. Kaplan Higher Education is dedicated to continuing the same excellent education for whic Bauder College is known.
